Wisdom  Hope and Blessings

It’s Important to have Wisdom, a sense of Hope and to experience Blessings.

Some of you could experience more Hope and many are asking where Answers to Prayer are.

Maybe we should start with Wisdom - let me show you why.

Psams 90:12

Holman Christian Standard Bible

Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.

International Standard Version

Teach us to keep account of our days so we may develop inner wisdom.

New Heart English Bible

So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

The NET Bible says “so that we might live wisely”

When we apply our hearts to Wisdom, we have Hope and Blessings come. Because we are not living carelessly,

we are more appreciative of the blessings The Lord wishes to bestow.

No wonder Proverbs 3 says:

15 Wisdom is more precious than jewels,

and all your desires cannot equal it.

17 Wisdom’s ways are pleasant ways,

and all its paths lead to peace.

18 Wisdom is a tree of life

for those who take a firm hold of it.

Those who cling to it are blessed.

(GOD’S WORD Translation)

Ecclesiastes 7:11 says:

Everyone who lives ought to be wise; it is as good as receiving an inheritance.

(Good News Translation)

Through the years, I have observed with human nature, most of us have a way of being careless with time (our days and years) and we also have a way of developing

self-destructive habits that can impede our happiness in life and spiritual progress. This is evident in the lives of Christians (myself included, at different times I can think of) unyet we are given precious promises in His Word that can be absorbed in our spirit and lived out. We need to Apply His Words and Act on Them for them to

become realities in our hearts and lives.

The Lord has spoken words in Ephesians One concerning us:

New Living Translation

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly Realms because we are united with Christ.

6 We praise God for the glorious grace He has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. [b] 7 He is so rich in Kindness and Grace that he purchased our Freedom with the Blood of his Son and forgave our sins. 8 He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

Faithful New Testament

3 Blessed [is] the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the [one] having blessed us in every spiritual blessing in the Heavenlies in Christ 6 To [the] praise of [the] glory of his Grace, of which He has graced us in the [one] agape-loved, 7 in which we have the Redemption through his Blood, the release from transgressions, according to the wealth of His Grace, 8 of which He has abounded to us in all Wisdom and Prudence.

The Truth New Testament

3 Give praise to Him, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For He has blessed us through our life in Christ with every spiritual blessing that belongs to His Heavenly Kingdom. 4-5 This is because He chose us before He created the world, to belong to Christ, to be made holy and blameless in His sight. Because of this amazing love, He decided that we should be adopted as His sons when we place our faith in Jesus Christ. Yes this was His purpose and even His Joy! 6 Why should He do such a thing?

Because this causes His people to praise Him for His glorious Grace, that which He gives freely to those who deserve nothing from Him. All this Grace, He has given us

in Jesus, the Son whom He loves.

He has also spoken words in Colossians One:

New Living Translation

3 We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 For we have heard of your Faith in Christ Jesus and your Love for

all of God’s people, 5 which come from your confident Hope of what God has reserved for you in Heaven. You have had this Expectation ever since you first heard

the Truth of the Good News.

Bereans Bible

3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 because we have heard about your Faith in Christ Jesus and your Love for all the saints, 5 springing from the Hope that is stored up for you in Heaven and that you already heard about in the word of Truth, the Gospel that has come to you.

The Truth New Testament

3-4 We are always thankful to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you because we know about your faith in Him and your love for all the saints,

those whom God has set apart and called for Himself and His purposes. 5-6 This faith and love are the result of the Hope that you have; for you are sure He has a reward for you in Heaven, the inheritance about which you have heard already through the Word of Truth, the Good News you have received of who Jesus Christ is and

all He has done for you.

James 1:5-6 Message for Today Is:

New International Version

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

The Truth New Testament

5 You should ask God to supply the wisdom you need, for He gives generously and unreservedly to all who ask. 6 However you must believe when you ask and not doubt

His willingness to give, for anyone who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven by the wind.

 New Testament for Everyone

5 If any one of you falls short in wisdom, they should ask God for it, and it will be given them. God, after all, gives generously and ungrudgingly to all people.

6 But they should ask in faith, with no doubts. A person who doubts is like a wave of the sea which the wind blows and tosses about.

New Living Translation

5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.

Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.

Trust and Loyalty Wins Through

Different verses in Psalms speak of Hope in relation to Prayer and His Word……..it is entwined with Trust and Loyalty. Are we trusting in someone or something else? Have we maybe given up hope because we’ve failed to see we can’t go well in a spiritual battle without Prayer in His Presence and Devotions in His Word? They are the very things that fuel Faith, Hope and Expectations. And in relation to blessings and answered prayers, The Lord has been known to say things like “These answers will come according to changes you make and the amount of time you spend with Me.”

So often we are waiting for change and The Lord is too!

Not the Talk but Walking the Walk

The Apostle Paul taught the Ephesians, the Colossians and Philippians to Keep their Eyes on Jesus and Set their Affections on things Above rather than earthly things so much…….things in these Last Days are designed to keep us busy, distracted and attracted……..to keep our eyes off JESUS and the HOPE of HEAVEN like the Early Christians had. “We want to do things like the Early Church, we want the miracles back again” many keep saying. So much for “the talk”……..do we want “the walk” they had? It was intimate, it was fervent.

Where Do We Place Our Affections?

And this is also the Love for Jesus and Walk with Him, the “Wise Maidens” have who will Meet with Jesus in the Rapture when He Comes in the clouds. (Matthew 25)

Let’s make some Right Choices here, lets choose LIVING in CHRIST daily. Because that’s where the HOPE and the BLESSINGS are and the WISDOM to maintain them. Let’s express our Affection for Jesus more each morning and evening at-least because He Loves Us. His Love is unconditional, answered prayers are not. We ask ourselves why our prayers are not answered?

How About The Words We Speak?

Often the words of our mouths are conflicting with what we think we are believing for……yes, believe it or not. Most of us mix negative words with positive, careless words with careful. And “His messengers (Holy Angels) hearken to the Voice of His Words to perform them” they know a genuine confession of Scripture (believing with our heart and mouth Heb 10) from a fake one (blabbing and grabbing). They always Work in Unity with the Holy Spirit and what He wills for us.

Start by working on whatever makes you lethargic spiritually, that’s a good way to begin things afresh!

Hopefully this article has shed light on a few things.
