Finding A Resting Place
Finding A Resting Place
28th December 2019
Are you finding life’s situations disturbing and maybe you need somewhere to hide – so to speak? Are you hiding yourself in your work or your room or even pleasure? Hide yourself in God and He will take care of you.
Each day, take a little time to come aside with Him and rest – do nothing but relax with Him and fix your focus on Him and you together and you will find comfort and strength in that quiet still place. This is the sure place of refuge that scripture speaks about – it will become your haven of rest.
In all life’s situations you can go there and find rest for your soul. He will take care of you and you will find rest from work because you cease from your labors and your mind is in rest mode. Your room will become a place of peace instead of unrest with disturbing thoughts – your emotions become healthier because you’ve found a better place of retreat. You cease to be a slave to pleasure because you will find true pleasure: a place of wholeness instead of addiction to happiness and a place of Joy that is independent of circumstances.
Hiding yourself in your work, your room or pleasure leads to imbalances you don’t want, and can sometimes be upsetting to your love ones, because they feel left out or maybe they are really concerned for you. God says that His ways are a refuge for us – that give us wisdom and strength in life’s situations – His Presence is a sure place of refuge. We need a balance of both. Make that your solution in this time of need. First, start with His Presence – you can’t go wrong – you will become a truly wise person and you will find the answers to your needs for He may even speak to you. Whatever, you will find comfort for He is a sure solace.
I received these words like a straight word of prophecy about 2 am in 2014
some of my writings are straight words or contain a segment/segments straight from The Lord.
God Of Hope – Inner Nature
God Of Hope – Inner Nature
28th December 2019
Hope of His Glory
Strengthening the Innerman
Some of us are a little faint hearted when we see how we fall short
of His Glory because He is a Holy God.
Also the stresses and afflictions of this present age can weigh us down too.
The following are several scriptures I have placed together from different translations to bring out the richness because no
English translation can bring out the fullness of the original Greek. You may call this a simple study and soak!
Seek The Lord’s Presence as you read, for revelation.
And if you are not up to that for some reason – let these Scriptures bring you
Into a soft touch of His Presence. He Loves You today.
Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but …
This Is The Way
Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
New International Version
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.
New Living Translation
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
English Standard Version
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Berean Study Bible
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
New American Standard Bible
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Weymouth New Testament
And do not follow the customs of the present age, but be transformed by the entire renewal of your minds, so that you may learn by experience what God’s will is–that will which is good and beautiful and perfect.
World English Bible
Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Young’s Literal Translation
And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what is the will of God — the good, and acceptable, and perfect.

Building Confidence in God
Building Confidence in God
30th December 2019
How Closely do you Know Him?
Confidence is about a person, it’s always about a person – not a theory or a technique. So build your confidence around the Person of God. Spend time in His Presence. This is the way we come to know Him. Acquaint yourself with Scriptures
that speak of His Goodness, His Grace and Kindness.
Many of us need a clear picture of Him – situations and circumstances may have clouded our Image of Him. Even lots of sermons can do that. Especially if they don’t portray Him well. Don’t rely on someone’s impression of Him but rather press in to know Him and you will be GLAD YOU DID!
“SEEK TO KNOW ME, THAT’S ALL YOU HAVE NEED. SEEK MY DIRECTION AND
FOLLOW ME. FOR THERE I WILL LEAD YOU TO PASTURES GREEN
WHERE THE RIVER OF LIFE DOES FREELY FLOW”
(a song He gave me years ago)
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose trust the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when the heat of the day comes, but its leaves shall be green; and shall not have
to be careful in the year of drought, neither shall it cease from yielding fruit”.
Jeremiah 17:5-8
What God is telling us here is that if we depend on ourselves or others, we will have a disadvantage. But if we have confidence in God,
we will always have an advantage in any circumstance so we can be fruitful and enjoy the blessings of God.
This comes with simple faith and trust.
So, what does it mean to have confidence in God? It means that you are not just wishing or hoping God is going to act on your behalf,
but that you expect Him to. You can be certain that He is working and the promises in his word.
And you don’t need anyone’s assistance because He is all-sufficient to meet your needs. Sometimes He may lead you to a person for practical advice or to a place to acquire certain skills whatever but He will be the One guiding you to do so – He is very good at that.
Scripture says “not to lean on your own understanding” and to trust Him with all your heart, your inner being. It is a matter of not relying on what you think you know and having an attitude of faith that stays with God’s word whatever the situation at hand.
Do not rely on the visible circumstances or what you think you know – that’s what this verse is saying. Yes, our God is ABLE……He likes it when we trust Him.
So in order to have confidence in God, you have to decide whose report or whose message you will believe – those temporary circumstances or the Living, abiding Word of God?
If you believe the report from your five senses or on the limited amount of knowledge that you have, what will be the outcome?
But if you believe the Good report in His Word, He can bless you beyond your expectations.
What is the result when you listen and respond to God’s Spirit and follow His teaching?
It is always better than when you doubt and try to work things out.
You can understand what God’s Will is through his Spirit. You understand the promises you have as a child of God
and see them manifest in your life by meeting His conditions:
1. Receive the Testimony in Scripture and respond to it. 2. Rest in the Promises of God – the Good Report.
3. Don’t let circumstances make you question God. 4. Let His Word and His Spirit be your counselors.
5. Be not led by your senses, but let your faith free.
So when you respond well and stay in agreement with God’s will and his word, you cannot fail. Thus, you can have confidence all the time and in all circumstances. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His power that works in us,” Ephesians 3:20. All this is by faith and trust – directing them towards God. Simple really – a child could grasp it.
It’s only our reasoning that gets in the way – that’s for communicating with life and people around us. We communicate with Him on a different level and it has to do with LOVE “heart to heart”.
Your confidence with Faith in God has to do with your confidence in the Love of God.
For this we need to spend time in His Presence daily, soaking it in. Also, remember to prayer-read the Scriptures – this will make your spirit stronger than your doubts. Jesus said Abide in My Words, then Ask.
Not the other way round because then we would be lazy – unmotivated, so to speak.
And it’s a matter of acquaintance, it really is. Who does not want to hear the words of someone they love? The emphasis has been wrong through the years “get what you can from God”…..and…..”how do I get it?” He is not a Santa or a Store Assistant, it goes deeper than that.
I would be offended if my family just asked me for things, would you? Surely we could spend some time with Him in each 24 hour day. “There is JOY in His Presence” who said it has to be a religious exercise? How long since you had a conversation with Him or listened for “His still small Voice?” it’s nice to have some Quiet-Time with Him, it really is a pleasure!
Good Things – Philippians 4
Good Things – Philippians 4
Think about the Good Things Good desires in our hearts Our mouths shall enjoy Good fruits
Philippians 4
Allow me to share these thoughts with you!
English Standard Version
8 Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be obvious to everyone. The Lord is near.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
In Philippians 4:6-8 Paul gives us a few instructions for a Victorious Life and Overcoming in Daily Life. He starts with:
Rejoice in The Lord Always, Yes Rejoice!
Be Gracious to everyone, let your Gentleness be seen.
Be Not Anxious for anything. Present your requests to The Lord with Thanks.
He tells us these 3 things will guard our hearts and minds in Jesus.
We will be kept in the Peace of God, that passes ALL understanding.
We won’t have to spend so much negative-energy trying to work things out.
We will come closer to Him, where the Victory Is.
Then he encourages us to really Know Him. And the secret is in Imitating Him!
He gives us the Perfect Recipe for this:
He says, Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable,
if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (English Standard Version)
So he gives us a list of Godly Attributes and says to pattern our thoughts this way.
Victory comes to those who train their thinking this way!
Paul is saying, when you learn to REJOICE (at all times, whatever the day or situation) and refusing to be anxious,
present your Prayers with a THANKFUL spirit……. and Act in the same spirit by being GRACIOUS with those around you…….
you will experience HIS PEACE__ it will envelope your heart and mind…….Don’t STOP There!
Think, Meditate and Dwell on THESE THINGS like Jesus did, like Paul did
and you will maintain the Victory. YES!
I will give you some parallel versions of Verse 8 here that will shed light on this.
Because Greek and Hebrew is so rich in content (meaning) no English translation can
encompass a verse in it’s entirety (richness).
New Living Translation
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.
Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
New American Standard Bible
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute,
if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
International Standard Version
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is fair, whatever is pure, whatever is acceptable, whatever is commendable,
if there is anything of excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—keep thinking about these things.
Aramaic Bible in Plain English
Therefore, my brethren, those things that are true, those that are honorable, those that are righteous, those things that are pure,
those things that are precious, those things that are praiseworthy, deeds of glory and of praise, meditate on these things.
GOD’S WORD® Translation
Finally, brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable,
fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable.
Jubilee Bible 2000
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, exercise yourselves in these things.

MORE ON PHILIPPIANS 4
The Heavenly Giver
The Heavenly Giver
Why do Miracles happen for some? Why do some of us have more Answered Prayers than others?
I have one key phrase for that: It is desire that leads to miracles and what you do with that desire.
The same with Answered Prayers!
Desire is not a passive word – many of us want something from God, even desperately sometimes but are complacent about it. Often, He is waiting for us to search Him out in a situation – seeking is not passive or half -hearted either, it has to do with seeking Him with all our heart and strength, like Jesus words “to love Him with all our heart and mind and strength”……..there are so many distractions that fill our day and evening, so many things that capture our attention……quite willingly……things we like a lot often.
We should ask ourselves, are we as willing to seek after Him? His Word says that His eyes search the earth for hearts that seek Him – so the readiness is there. When are we ready in “this busy, busy generation?” have we really had enough of things the way they are or have been. Maybe we want the gifts and not the Giver but they come together. We often want postage delivery from Heaven, so to speak but He is smarter than that.
We so often think our prayers are unanswered – is it that He is waiting for us to come close enough to receive it? Maybe Yes! We care more than anyone else about our needs, that’s true, but do we care enough to search Him out? How is it that we separate the gift from the Giver?
I think it is because we don’t really know Him – if we did, then we would be more intimately acquainted. After-all, we are more personal with our love-ones when they have gifts for us yet we are so estranged from the Lover of our Souls. We place more value on our relationships than we do with a Benevolent Father and Friend of Friends.
Yes, this is true of most of us is’nt it? Hence, we find the answer to unanswered prayers (most times) because in effect, we are saying “lets be strangers, but give me the gifts”. Honestly, we want so many things from Him, we want Him to “give, give, give” until He is worn out (figure of speech). But He is not an earthly mother, He is our Heavenly Father and He is much wiser than that. We must think He was born yesterday (figure of speech).
We want our children to come up really close to us when we give them gifts, hey? And so it is with “Daddy Father, Elshadai” He wants to tell us something, and it is this “be acquainted with Me and hereby will Peace come to you. If you hunger and thirst for My Presence, you will be satisfied. I can relate with you and show you things, I can move in your heart and life”. This is your way out of anxiety and confusion, my friend. There is only confusion about unanswered prayers when we are not close to Him, like children and trust in His wisdom sometimes. Really, that is your answer.
Embrace the Ways of Jesus
Embrace the Ways of Jesus
Many wise people Exercise their body to improve or maintain Good Health. It pays dividends – you can see this when you look at them. And so it is with JESUS! It is not any different. Those who Spend Time to be CLOSE to HIM, it really shows, you can recognise the difference and we’re not speaking about a religious exercise here or a church program. If you read John 15 closely, Jesus referred to Himself as the Vine – not even the Body of Christ – when He gave that wonderful invitation ABIDE IN ME and He says to us “this is the way you will bear fruit” MUCH FRUIT if we keep practicing the PRESENCE of GOD daily. So many Christians are estranged from that kind of Walk with Jesus.
Just like our mind and body need to be aligned in health, so does our heart and mind need to be aligned with our spirit.
Did you know that in the natural, most of us are Shallow Breathers and do not know how to expand our lungs? That’s why there are deep breathing exercises to practice each day. The Lord wants to say something to us and that is “Many of you are shallow breathers spiritually. You do not soak up My Presence to allow the Breath of God to breathe in you. And so you experience very little of the Moving of My Spirit in you…….you need to Let the River Flow……more time in My Presence (You and Me). Many of you are restless and spend little time there. Learn what this means and COME.”
Philippians 4 Continued
Philippians 4 Continued
Yes, the New Living Translation tells us to Fix our Thoughts.
(pattern your thoughts accordingly so they will be saturated and permeated)
The New American Standard Bible tells us to Dwell on These Things.
(not to let negative, upsetting or ungodly things pervade our thinking).
So we have seen in the other Post. in Philippians 4:8, Paul meant more than just think of those things.
The New American Standard Bible stresses those things that are of Good Repute.
(not to be quick to accept evil reports or dwell on them)
The King James Bible says to think of things that are of a Good Report.
(like the 2 Israelites gave when they came back from spying Canaan)
The NET Bible stresses those things that are Worthy of Respect.
(so whatever deserves our respect and is said respectfully is God’s order)
The International Standard Version says those things that are
Acceptable and Commendable.
(whatever is acceptable to God comes to mind here and things we find commendable).
Here we find the state of the world and personal input by those around us.
We need to govern what goes into our thinking as much as we can in this Age.
That includes TV – Computers – Radio
And please don’t be insensitive to the failings of the weak or someone who needs to confide
by rudely shutting them up to protect your ears. Some Christians do that! But we can be wise as to how much we take in.
In relation to our own Personal Thoughts, we are encouraged to make them
things that are Pure and Lovely.
(not rude, conceited or shameful but to think of beautiful things like nature, good tidings
and godly things).
The International Standard Version and the NET Bible invite us to think of Excellence!
(we can have an excellent spirit like Daniel and Paul if we dwell on the excellence
of God’s Words to us)
Learn to set your desires on Things Above, not earthly things only.
Things that are Precious and Praiseworthy.
(those things we hold precious, we should think of more often and we need to think of
things that others would think of as praiseworthy – ie we would not be ashamed and embarrassed)
Things that are Commendable.
(we need to consider things that are commended by God as well as others)
Things that are Noble and right.
(scripture says if we cleanse ourselves (put away) what is ignoble
we can be a noble vessel fit for use – the choice is up to us)
Things of Virtue and Praise.
Who is there better to think of than The Lord Himself for all His Virtue and Praise?
The International Standard Version counsels us to keep thinking about these things.
The Jubilee Bible 2000 aptly tells us to Exercise Ourselves in These Things.
Yes, these things don’t come overnight – we need to Exercise them.
Practice makes perfect they say and what we do daily stays with us.
I trust you have enjoyed these thoughts on Philippians 4.
Thank You So Much Stacey
